St George's is committed to the welfare of every person who comes through our door, and to the careful keeping of any information you share with us.
Safeguarding
St George’s Parish Church operates within the safeguarding framework of the Church of Ireland. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all — children, young people, and vulnerable adults — in every part of parish life.
Concerns of any kind may be raised in confidence with the Rector, the Reverend Brian Stewart, on 07902 792080, or with the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer. Full details and contact channels are available on request from the Parish Office.
Privacy
The data controller for this website is the Select Vestry of St George’s Parish Church, Belfast (NI Charity No. NIC101556). We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us: your name and contact details when you send an enquiry or venue-hire request, and your email address when you join our mailing list. We use it solely to respond to you and to send you the parish news you asked for, and we keep it only as long as those purposes require.
Form submissions and our mailing list are managed in our parish office system (GoHighLevel), and this website is hosted by Vercel; both act as processors on our behalf and may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Online donations are handled entirely by Give A Little on their own site, under their own privacy policy — we never see your payment details. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else without your consent.
You may ask at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to be removed from the mailing list — just contact the Parish Office. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers, so there is no cookie banner to click. The one exception is the optional map on our contact page: it is provided by Google Maps and loads only if you choose to view it, at which point Google may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
